Book Meme

Birdy Chirp has suggested me for this book meme.

How many books do I own?
It has to be the collective "we" and easily 1,000 just in our home office alone. Then there are sundry books around the house, in the bedrooms, bathrooms and then there are the children's books.

What was the last book I bought?
You are what you eat Dr Gillian McKeith

What was the last book I read?
Currently reading Tesla: Man out of Time Margaret Cheney

What five books mean a lot to me?
(After I have posted I am going to think I should have put this or that book!)
Surely you're joking Mr Feynman! Richard P Feynman
George Eliot: the Last Victorian Kathryn Hughes
The Family Guide to Homeopathy Dr Andrew Lockie
Any Dictionary
Jane Eyre Charlotte Bronte

I tag...
Anyone who is reading this! Let me know if you do it and I'll put a link to you.

Hello Max! He's done his choices on the groovy sounding Two Tone Records

My book hero! Jane Eyre is one of my favorites as well.

I also must agree with you on your previous post..supremely sexy Mr Gable delivered sensuality without lapping like a dog.

Very like the Book Stick which wafted in this direction before you began blogging - wow, I bet its a surprise to most readers that you are new(ish) to this. I'd forgotten.
So I decline. But be nice and tag people - it can feel big headed to help yourself to a meme untagged - all me me me!

Thank you for visiting my new blog :)

I'm not really a book reader, I always seem to find something else to do other than relax. I really must do something about that. Just for the record, please don't tag me, unless you want an answer like Beano LOL :)

Arc - I like the way you described Mr Gable :-)

Cheryl - I still feel new to blogging - like a kid in a candy store :-) I can see what you are saying Cheryl about the "to tag or not to tag" point. I shall remember that there are some people I need to tag, otherwise I prefer to leave it open. I think I might be in a quandary if I was tagged and then had to decline - but you seem to have done it gracefully :-)

Mandy - I think answers like the Beano are perfect! I'm hoping that Pookie65 will do this Meme when he gets back. As a hot blooded gay man he has a penchant for romance novels and I bet he has a few he can recommend :-)

Oooh oooh did you ever see the book about Pookie the little white rabbit?
All his brown brothers and sisters were mean to him because of his lumpy back and he left home and the fairies wouldnt help and he nearly died but the woodcutter's daughter found him and healed him and then he got wings.
Hic sob. Gee but I was a soppy kid.
(Well this IS about books, isnt it?)

I did this one on Wednesday June 29 after I got tagged by Army of Mom, and DoF wrote one on Wednesday June 29. I'm not sure how the linking works in Comments.
Like you, we have thousands of books. We have reasons for keeping too many of them!
